Her friend was busy with the new home she was building.
She wanted to help, but age held her back.
" I’ll visit her once at least and do what I can, " she thought.
When she reached the construction site, no one was around.
" Oh ! I’ll just have to wait for her return," she settled on that.
The night was fast descending and her friend was nowhere in sight.
Her kids were alone at home ; she decided to leave.
But not before shedding very carefully from her thinning plumage, a beautiful blue feather ; her contribution to her friend’s new home !!
