We were returning from the festival when it happened.
He fell down on the road, unable to move.
Despite knowing that I disliked his drinks party , he’d drowned himself in alcohol.
And when his head kissed the road, I was all alone.
I couldn’t wake him up ; and there was no way to get some water to sprinkle on his face.
I could carry him home, but then, people might think I had harmed him.
Sigh…..
So I decided to wait and let him wake up, clearheaded.
Isn’t this what a good elephant should do for his mahout, tell me ?

Oh i felt really sad about this, the bit that people might think he harmed the man :-( I went to sri lanka and met so many elephants, I love them, such regal, graceful even though big, just gentle giants. I have shelves and shelves of them at home...I miss my visit and hope one day I might get to go and see them again x PS Hello from another a-z blogger. How are you getting on with the challenge?
