A to Z Random Post # 10 - Just another day !

Fr. Paul made the Sign of the Cross and moved back, having finished the prayers.

All of us present had thrown down  ‘fistfuls of dirt’ on the coffin.

Now  I could get back to my job of covering the coffin with the soil and filling the grave.

I shoved in the soil from the sides of the grave and filled it perfectly , levelled the soil with  my shovel and arranged some flowers on top of it.

Ah ! Well done,  my job !!

 a fresh grave

Before closing the gates of the cemetery,  I bade a final goodbye to my father who had just left me.
